This Wednesday, April 21, Burberry presented its autumn-winter collection 2021-2022 in a 100% digital way. Homage to all women and more particularly to Mother nature, played here by the British singer and songwriter Shygirl, this dressing room was a return to the fundamentals, freeing itself of preconceived ideas while giving new life to the classics of the house.

A bold interpretation of the feminine essentials but also of Burberry's codes, transcribed through graphic trompe l'oeil and other monochrome games, removing dust from the must-see in the dressing room to place them more than ever in a contemporary aesthetic.

The Burberry autumn-winter collection 2021-2022 also included a plethora of comforting pieces such as false fur coats and wild printed trenches, celebrating the animal Kingdom, an integral part of the Burberry essence. Here's all you needed to remember from this show, in five fashion points.

What are Burberry's trends for next winter?

Monochromes

In a wide range of neutral hues ranging from FIR green to camel, beige, brown, copper, black and saffran, Burberry taught a style lesson, raising the monochrome look to the rank of fashion statement. The signature?

Glitter mania

How will we dress after the pandemic? Burberry is adamant: gold, in every way. Dresses, clutch XXL and other top made of satin embroidered with glitter, laminated trench with carnations... A bright and decidedly feminine silhouette that draws the contours of the dressing room of tomorrow's party girl.

Bag obsession

For the fall and winter 2021-2022, the Burberry House unveils a new object of desire: the flag bag, a sleeve with fluent lines with metal fringes sometimes made from silk embroidered with glitter (shown in the photo above), sometimes sublimated with the initial B. another obsession mode: the Messenger bag XXL, imagined for the men's autumn-winter collection 2021-2022, available here in false fur and shearling effects.

Fausse fourrure

In September 2018, Burberry followed the lead of many houses and brands by announcing a permanent ban on the use of animal fur. In this same step, the house unveils a wardrobe outer wear comforting with the hyper-realistic trousers of the eye. The mythical trench-coat is tattooed with a print reproducing animal fur while a series of coats are available in soft but animal friendly versions.

Graphic Graphics Riccardo Tisci gives new life to Burberry's traditional codes. The autumn-winter dressing room 2021-2022 is similar to modern armor: the tailoring is pushed to its climax and bursts in cut-out details while the Union Jack motif is discreetly affixed to a top or a mini-skirt. The Tartan signature imagines itself deconstructed and the classic fashions like the duffle-coat twist with a discreet Cape.
