The designer founded the most "fabulous" Russian brand in 2001. All collections are based on dresses inspired by Russian and foreign fairy tales, such as the Fly-Tsikatouche, Nutcracker, stories about the Bird of fire and the Gray Wolf, etc.
“Nine years ago (2006), we turned to one of the best marketing agencies in the world with a mission to shape the DNA of the brand. They researched the brand, asked about my favorite artists, books, movies. [...] As a result, they proposed to use the idea of Russian fairy tales and, in particular, banned images from Soviet culture, because they are associated with the mass market. The proposed concept completely coincided with my ideals,” Akhmadulina said in an interview with the daily Vedomosti.
Already in 2005, Alena presented her collection in Paris, and this is how dresses and suits with abstract prints then appeared all over the world. Since then, Akhmadullina has designed costumes for the opening ceremony of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, for the Cirque du Soleil show JOEL in 2015, and developed a collection of clothes for Barbie.
Akhmadullina's clothes are worn by Mick Jagger's daughter Georgia May, actress Jessica Williams, Naomi Campbell, Eva Green and Patricia Kaas.

Then he realized that he wanted to dress "a real neighborhood guy", and in 2008 he presented his first collection of clothes at the stadium in Moscow's Sokolniki Park. The models were his pals, skateboarders, unassuming guys and just neighborhood dudes, all grounded – like everyone straight out of a 90s rave.
