Fashion week has started in Paris
Fashion Week in Paris attracted stars, personalities and members of royal and princely families. It is now rare for princes and princesses to attend fashion shows. In the past, Princess Caroline of Monaco never missed Christian Dior's parade and then that of Chanel. She now only attends from time to time, particularly during the presentation of the cruise collection or that of the craft trades.
Queen Paola, then Princess of Liège, went to Paris to applaud the creations of Jean-Louis Scherrer, of whom she was a loyal customer. Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg did the same with Elie Saab and Armani.
Today, the public is now more sparse due to health standards and the front row is occupied by influencers or international stars invited by the big houses. The members of the Gotha present are either on the podium or in their capacity as ambassadors of the fashion houses.
Thus, Prince Nikolai of Denmark, son of Prince Joachim and eldest of Queen Margrethe's eight grandchildren, paraded for the Rains brand. He is also in the monthly edition of "Vogue Scandinavia". The young man who had decided to start a military career before giving it up after a month, studied at a business school in Copenhagen and lived to spend six months in Paris on an internship. He reconciles his studies with parades and photo shoots for fashion magazines. He has already been requested by Christian Dior and Burberry.
For Dior's Haute Couture spring-summer 2022 show, which took place at the Rodin Museum, Pierre Casiraghi and his wife, the Italian aristocrat Beatrice Borromeo, arrived hand in hand. The son of Princess Caroline of Monaco and his wife are respectively the ambassadors of the men's and women's labels of the famous fashion house.
Also in the audience for this parade, Lady Amelia Windsor. She is the daughter of the Earl of St. Andrews and the granddaughter of the Duke of Kent, cousin of Queen Elizabeth. For the past few years, the big brands have been snapping it up and she has continued to consolidate her position as an influencer.
But the image that will have undoubtedly marked this week of Parisian fashion is the opening of Chanel's Haute Couture fashion show at the ephemeral Grand Palais. Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Princess Caroline, opened the show by arriving on horseback, wearing a riding bomb on her head and wearing a Chanel jacket. Charlotte Casiraghi has not only been Chanel's ambassador for a year, but also its spokesperson and the person in charge of literary activities in the salons of the house on rue Cambon. In the audience, the young woman was able to count on the presence of her mother-in-law, actress Carole Bouquet, a former image of Chanel perfumes.
