The Caveirac shopkeeper sends panties to Jean Castex
“While waiting for aid, we must continue to pay our fixed costs and our suppliers. Today, our financial situation is becoming really critical!”, denounces Aurélie Vidal Markocki.
Like nearly 480 professionals in the four corners of France, the young woman at the head of Pomponette Lingerie and Curiosities in Caveirac, denounces the closure of independent lingerie stores. "An aberration, while panties and bras must obviously join the list of basic necessities!", explains the trader specializing, among other things, in the sale of large size lingerie for which fitting and advice are, she assures, "essential during the act of purchase".
Monday, April 19, like 150 other members of the "Action Culottée" collective (see opposite), Aurélie Vidal Markocki sent a pair of panties by post to the Prime Minister. “Pretty red panties, in lace. A great classic, both chic and timeless!”, she explains amused.
Tangas, thongs, shorties… 150 panties already sent to Matignon
“Tangas, thongs, shorties, boat panties… We all have our own style and send something that looks like us”, specifies the shopkeeper.
Far from wanting to create a buzz or provoke, Aurélie Vidal Markocki hopes, thanks to this act tinged with humor, to be able to move things forward for the representatives of her profession and obtain, as soon as possible, an authorization to reopen.
"Failing that, we ask the authorities to be able to receive our customers in dribs and drabs, by appointment and in compliance with barrier gestures! Without this, many of us will very quickly close the door."
