Animal Crossing: A New Build-A-Bear Collection For The Series
The Build-A-Bear company yesterday announced a new partnership with Nintendo to create a new collection of toys featuring Animal Crossing characters. Can you resist getting a fluffy little companion from Build-A-Bear when it's in the likeness of your favorite villager?
It's official ! Thanks to a Tweet posted by Build-A-Bear, we learn that Nintendo and the plush toy company will be partnering up to release an all-new Animal Crossing collection. The announcement is very vague and gives little information on the stuffed animals that we will be able to buy, but we are promised more information soon.
The ad unfortunately doesn't mention which characters will be turned into plush. With nearly 400 different villagers in the game, it's hard to make predictions about which characters are chosen. But we can still predict some emblematic names from the series like Isabelle or Tom Nook that it would not be at all surprising to see in this new collection of toys.
The announcement doesn't give us any info on the characters, but it does promise that the collection is "coming soon" and offers us to follow a link to sign up for email alerts.
Build-A-Bear is a plush toy company that lets customers fill their stuffed animals themselves and dress them the way they want. The online version of the store lets you go through the same process of choosing clothes and accessories, except, of course, you won't be able to fill the stuffed animal yourself. The plushes made to measure according to your order will then be delivered to your door.
This isn't the first time Build-A-Bear has teamed up with a popular culture brand to make an original new collection. Last January, a Build-A-Bear featuring Baby Yoda from the Mandalorian series was announced and stocks sold like hot cakes as soon as it was announced that it was available.
