How much is a baby?
What budget represents the birth and reception of a child? To find out, here is a summary of minimum expenses to be expected when a baby arrives.
Diapers: at least 50 euros per month
First there is the diaper budget, which reduces as the child grows (the foreign exchanges will be more and more spaced), but which is substantial at the beginning.Prefer purchases by packs (around 50 euros for a month) to pay cheaper. If your child is kept in a crèche, you will also save a lot of diapers ... to avoid weighing down the budget (and making a gesture for the environment and baby's future health), prefer cleaning the buttocks to the toilet glovelukewarm water and a little neutral soap.
Optional: wipes to help out (around 4 euros per package).
Infantile milk: at least 60 euros per month
The first five months, the only expenditure of food to be expected for baby is infantile milk.Namely bottles of mineral water (around 10 euros per month) and boxes of milk (around 50 euros per month). If you choose to breastfeed, no expense to plan, if not at least three breastfeeding bras (from 10 euros per unit).
Optional: the rental of a breast pump (reimbursed by social security and the mutual), a breastfeeding cushion (around 25 euros), a healing cream, breastfeeding pads ...
Care products: at least 20 euros at birth
Do not forget the essentials that will serve for several years: thermometer, soft hair brush, nail scissors with round ends (about 10 euros all). You also need at least one cream for the change (about 7 euros) and a body and hair cleanser for baby (from 2 euros).Physiological serum, sterile compresses and other care products will be prescribed by your doctor if necessary (and therefore reimbursed by health insurance).Optional: toilet water, toilet milk, a toiletry bag.

Baby clothing budget
It is the most variable envelope, depending on the stocks that parents already have. For a first baby, you often have to invest a lot of money, unless you have the chance to recover business through your loved ones.To minimize costs, favor the period of sales and childcare fairs in your neighborhood, or even barter sites of clothing.
Note: a baby changes in size every two-three months the first year.At least you have to have a good number of bodysuits, pairs of socks, pajamas, pants or dresses, T-shirts, sweaters and a coat (type waterproof combination), a pair of mittens, a cap, slippers.
Optional: outfits for holidays and holidays (swimsuit, sunglasses, etc.).
Childcare equipment and the room: at least 500 euros at birth
Better to invest in the necessary equipment as you go, because all parents (and their babies) do not have the same needs. Also think that your adult equipment can sometimes do the trick.Example: a large towel replaces a baby bath sheet very well.
The necessary for birth comes down to a baby bed (minimum 100 euros with the mattress, the Alates and the Covers), a sleeping bag (from 9 euros), a stroller, or stroller-combi (with a car seat) (From 150 euros), a changing table (from 25 euros), a bathtub (from 10 euros), a bath thermometer (from 3 euros). You have to add to this for travel, a passing bed (around 30 euros), a baby carrier (around 50 euros, very variable price depending on the model retained), accessories for the stroller depending on the season ...
No need to invest in a multitude of bottles.Three is enough (about 10 euros for the lot), without forgetting a bottle brush to clean them (3 euros).Note that many babies drink the milk at room temperature, so wait a bit before investing in a bottle heater. As for the sterilizer, it is no longer recommended by pediatricians ...
Without forgetting a small envelope for toys and decoration (comforter, awakening carpet, musical game, baby books, bathing games, stickers ...).
