How to dress baby when it's hot?
It is then important to choose your clothes depending on the outside temperature but especially depending on the temperature inside the house, the environment, the presence or not of air conditioning in the accommodation. The objective is to minimize perspiration and therefore the risk of dehydration, a phenomenon that can go very quickly and presents a real danger to baby health.
Dress baby in summer: we favor light and natural materials
Small summer outfits for baby are absolutely crisp. But during a heat wave, you have to favor comfort in aesthetics. It is preferable to avoid synthetic materials, sticky clothes, sets with a complex closure system, small details such as nodes, ruffles, passes. The goal is that baby feels good!Toddlers generally do not particularly appreciate the phase of the dressing, they are getting impatient, fidgeting, sometimes start to cry.Discurrent discomfort when it is very hot.The risk is to end up with a baby in swimming, annoyed and tired.
We therefore favor loose light outfits, in cotton or in an airy and light fabric like bamboo, a naturally antibacterial, absorbent and anti-transpiring material. For little girls, we also avoid headbands on the head which, if they are certainly pretty, are absolutely not comfortable. In summary, to walk we favor simplicity with a little light dress for girls, a full shirt for boys. But above all, we avoid going out during the hottest hours.During a heat wave, it is better to wait for the mercury to really decline (sometimes only at 8 p.m.) to go and take the air.
Heat wave: a layer and that's it?
The first thing to do is to invest in a thermometer in order to know the temperature inside the accommodation, this allows you to adapt baby's outfit.Even when it is very hot, you are sometimes tempted to cover baby.In reality, during a heat wave, baby can completely stay in bed all day.No need to add a body, pajamas or a turbulent if the temperature inside the house exceeds 27 degrees.Less baby is covered, the less he will sweat and the less he may dehydrate.
If the temperature is between 23 and 25 degrees, a layer and a body are sufficient.Be careful, however, if the apartment is air -conditioned, it will then be necessary to cover baby accordingly with pajamas and a turbulet so that it does not set cold.
