Knitting for premature babies, this is a good action carried out in Tulle
The Corrèze association offers layette
Stéphanie Cvitic felt isolated and misunderstood when Timéo was born two months early. She hadn't planned clothes for a premature baby.
The little prema fairies is a national association but Stéphanie Cvitic, a resident of Sarran, is at the origin of a Corrèze "antenna" of which she is the referent. Mother of a little boy who, in 2017, was born almost two months early, she felt isolated, misunderstood and above all had not materially planned the birth of a premature baby. "When Timéo was born, I didn't realize it was my baby, because I wasn't expecting him so soon and he wasn't in his own clothes."
In Saint-Vaury (Creuse), you learn to knit by going to the bistro
Since then, she has chosen to come to the aid of the parents of children born early by offering them, each month, a box containing baby clothes.

A small team that knits, sews...
Around Stéphanie Cvitic, a small team has been formed: four knitters, three seamstresses and a crocheter work hard to create cuddly toys, bras, hats, slippers... for very small sizes. "I started by distributing flyers, then I created a Facebook page and that's how I received the first donations. Often, knitters send me photos, they ask me what I I need", lists the Corrézienne referent of the association. Only one instruction: pay attention to the wool used, avoid that it makes small balls so that the babies do not choke and that no wire exceeds. For the prémadou (the cuddly toy), no outside seams are required.
Boxes distributed every month
In the box, there are in priority a hat, slippers, mittens and a prémadou (a comforter).
Each month, the association distributes boxes to the neonatology department of the maternity hospital in Tulle. Inside: a hat, slippers, mittens and a premadou. In addition, depending on the donations, a bra, knitted pants... "I leave the boxes at the maternity ward and it is the Amuse association that distributes the boxes. I know that since March, each premature baby has got a box. I think it makes the parents happy..."
No, knitting is not just for grannies!
