Queen Letizia of Spain and King Felipe VI gave a reception at the Royal Palace in Madrid on January 17. For the occasion, Queen Letizia recycled a vintage Queen Sofia dress.

On Monday January 17, Queen Letizia of Spain received the diplomatic corps for this new year. The reception took place at the Royal Palace in Madrid. Several personalities were present at this annual event. Queen Letizia of Spain and King Felipe VI were accompanied by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares, 50, was also present at the event to greet the ambassadors on the occasion of the new year. The Spanish royal fashion icon showed off her genius yet again by recycling a 44-year-old dress. Difficult to do more vintage, the dress seems to have been cut for Queen Letizia of Spain.

Queen Letizia, 49, opted for a dress signed Valentino. The dress features a light pink floral patterned bodice. This blouse and the roses printed on it are almost tone on tone with Letizia's shade. For its lower part, the dress sports a long and puffy emerald green skirt. To put this vintage and spring look to her sauce, the mother of Princess Leonor, 16, and Infanta Sofia, 14, chose a pair of green earrings. She styled her shiny brown hair in a high ponytail. What makes her outfit so vintage is that the dress belongs to King Felipe VI's mother, Queen Sofia, 83.

Queen Sofia, 83, wore the same Valentino dress in 1977. The stepmother of Letizia from Spain was on a state trip to Germany at the time with her husband Juan Carlos. Queen Sofia of Spain wore the dress to attend a concert at Gymnich Castle. The concert was offered to President Walter Scheel and his wife, Mildred, according to Royal Histories. Rumors of disputes between Queen Sofia and Queen Letizia of Spain have been circulating lately. Histoires Royales states that this "exchange of clothes proves that there is all the same a cordial understanding between the wife and the mother of King Felipe".

I'm not crazy about Brigitte but I'm overwhelmed to see you fall on her for free. I would be surprised if Brigitte has spent crazy sums over the past two years, especially since we lend her the clothes with more or less happy results depending on the outfit. But she has already been very well and then she is not Laetizia's age. She is fine for her age.
