A festival in configuration seated for the moment
First postponed and then canceled last year due to the COVVI-19 pandemic, the festival will adapt this year to the evolution of the epidemic and will apply the health obligations in force at the time of the event.
For the moment, this second edition of Essonne en Scène is in a seated configuration. However, "seating places may however have to evolve towards a standing configuration according to the evolution of the health situation", indicate the organizers who will deliver more details on the conditions of access to the festival "as the rules gogovernmental ".
Given the expected crowds (5,000 people a day, or even more), it would be necessary as it is currently for the Roland-Garros tournament, present a health pass to be able to access the field of Chamarande and live the festival.
A local catering offer
On site, festival -goers will find an extended restoration offer compared to that set up in 2019 for the first edition.
Half a dozen restaurants and food trucks were selected as part of a call for projects. There will therefore be more stands and especially more Essonnian products.
"Whether we prefer burgers or pancakes, or even want to eat vegan, diversity will be in order," promise the organizers who have also imposed on selected restaurateurs, reasonable pricing as well as products little or notprocessed, from the shortest possible circuit.
Exhibitions to visit during the festival
Festival -goers will also be able to visit two exhibitions presented to the Departmental Domaine de Chamarande during the time of the event.
There will thus be "to take the air", a retrospective of twenty years of contemporary art in the departmental domain of Chamarande, with works of fifty leading artists including Robert Combas, Erro, Richard Orlinski, Ben,Tatiana Wolska, Jean-Luc Parant, Hervé Di Rosa, Philippe Ramette, etc..
The castle will also host during the festival, an exhibition bringing together the choreographer Philippe Decouflé and the videographer Pierrick Sorin entitled "Crosses of a myopic and a presbyopia".
The duo offers in particular video installations and optical devices that stage the body, that of the artist like that of the visitor, as well as his movements.
