Adele “25”: the best-selling album in France in 2015

It just fell, Adele's latest album titled “25”, is number one in sales almost all over the world. Nothing surprising for this singer with millions of fans, who also has the most bewitching voice of her generation. The first extract from his album is called “Hello” and in my jargon, we can say that “it's the bomb!”. This tube is listened to loudly, in a loop, and literally transcends you after a few seconds.

It's rare that I own an artist's complete discography, but Adele is the exception that proves the rule. She was able to captivate me with “Hometown Glory” (her touching voice, those first piano notes that always give me goosebumps) that I heard for the first time in an episode of Skins. A deep and deep voice, a vocal technique to make many envious (our Mariah Carey today can go get dressed, as for Celine Dion and her premature cover of “Hello” we talk about it?) In short, Adele is a singer that I appreciate for her authenticity and her generosity.

In this last album, if we find his incomparable vocal signature, I also find that we remain a little unsatisfied. The songs are quite different from what we have heard from her so far. The music is much less melancholic, less deep, less sensitive, unlike “Hello” which completely breaks the rule. I'm also not surprised that she chose this title to promote her album. She was able to remind her many fans of her good memories, since it clearly echoes the musical style of her album “21”. I was, and I myself am in love with the latter (my eternal top 3 of the best albums of recent years) and I was a little afraid that she wouldn't succeed in picking me up. Well, I confirm. “25” is an album that I enjoyed, but which touched me much less than the previous ones. I find it almost a little too “clean”. However, the album begins at the top with “Hello”. We are immediately hypnotized by his voice, this rhythm which goes crescendo… This heavy and touching atmosphere at the same time. Then, we find the titles "Send My Love", "Remedy" or even "All I ask" in a style that differs and creates an almost disturbing break, so much so that for a second, I wondered if she was the one singing. This does not prevent that we still find very controlled titles, even if they flourish in a style that is too refined for my taste.

Anyway, Adele is and will remain one of the most beautiful voices of 2015 and the years to come.
