Châteaubriant: a collection of toys organized in November for the children of Secours Populaire

For the third consecutive year, the Auest Destockage store in Châteaubriant (Loire-Atlantique) is organizing a toy collection in November 2021.Each toy collected will be offered to a child for Christmas in addition to food packages that Secours populaire distributes in many homes in the sector.The collection will start on November 2, 2021 and ends on 30.

Mélanie Martin, manager of the store, presents this operation, which she also offers in her second store, in Pontivy (Morbihan):

In 2019, for the first operation of its kind, donations were collected for the food bank."We had filled two palettes of toys: a bicycle, puzzles, books, coloring, first -aged toys, stuffed animals", lists Julie Hochet, commercial of the store, in charge of this collection.

In 2020, the health context had not made it possible to repeat the operation, which was then organized for Secours populaire.It was therefore renewed for Christmas2021.

Donations for Christmas

If all types of toys are accepted, Julie Hochet wishes to warn generous donors."Don does not mean recycling center.We want the games to be complete and clean.But if for example there is no longer the original box of puzzles, but the pieces have been put in a sachet, there is no problem.We all have toys in our closet that are not used!»»

A palette will be installed to accommodate these toys throughout the month, at the store, located rue de Condé."If other stores want to participate in our collection, they can join us with great pleasure.»»
