How to keep your clothes longer?
Being green isn't always easy. Fortunately, we can all, at our level, make small gestures that make big differences. So, let's not consider our clothes as disposable and try these little tricks to keep your clothes as long as possible.
Storing clothes: quite an art!
Optimizing the storage of your wardrobe changes your daily life from an organizational point of view, but not only.
Bend well to better keep your clothes
Is your wardrobe full of rolled up sweatshirts? Ouch, that's not ideal for helping your favorite sweater keep its shape for as long as possible.

Try folding your clothes along the seams. This helps to take care of your clothes, in particular by having less recourse to ironing because of creases. Because the iron damages clothes. We do without it as much as possible and we prefer to straighten with steam.
hang properly
Invest in quality hangers to prevent the knits of sweaters, especially those made of wool, from deforming. But not every piece of your wardrobe will look good on a clothes rack. For example, somewhat heavy hoodies should not be hung, but rather folded.
To avoid unsightly creases, place a handkerchief between the hanger clip and the garment.
Attention: the washing machine damages the clothes!
But of course, we are not going to do without it. So, let's try to make the best use of it for optimal laundry care.
Basic tips
Most of us received washing machine training from our parents as teenagers. But little reminders don't hurt.

Additional Precautions
To prevent the linen from being further damaged, prefer washing in cold water, which is just as effective. Then don't forget to button and zip all the closures. The zips that protrude tend to cling to the threads! For the same reason, slip your most fragile items such as lingerie into a washing net. Turn all other clothes inside out to keep them from chafing.
Finally, get rid of stains gently by preferring natural stain removers such as Marseille soap or white vinegar. And to avoid stains altogether, it seems silly, but protect your clothes as best as possible by wearing an apron when cooking.
Systematic washing, is that really reasonable?
Of course, putting back the sweaty t-shirt from your cardio session is out of the question! However, we can tend to wash our clothes too much.
Sometimes, the simple fact of airing your clothes by offering a little detox regularly to your dressing room can be enough. So, from time to time, get your clothes and accessories out of your cupboards, wardrobes and other drawers to give them a fresh look without going through the clothes washing box.
It is also a good way to protect yourself against the clothes moth, this unwanted that nibbles our textiles.
But even with the greatest attention, you cannot keep your clothes indefinitely, even those of quality (to be preferred for their longevity). You can donate or resell on Vinted, among other things, those that are still in good condition. For others, when simple clothing alterations are no longer sufficient, consider recycling clothes by bringing them to the clothing relay point closest to your home.
