Sewing for Baby: what precautions?
Sewing for a baby is very tempting. From birth, Baby likes to be surrounded by a few small objects that will secure him and gradually awaken his curiosity, nourishing his exploration of the world and his development. When sewing for a toddler, keep in mind that they will make their toy their own – a rattle, activity mat or activity cube to name a few – by putting it in their mouth and crushing it! So be sure for baby to choose resistant and soft fabrics at the same time, in linen or cotton, preferably organic. Their maintenance will also be essential so that they last a long time and do not end up dirty, stuffed with germs. Secure each seam well, especially if your object is padded so that baby does not risk swallowing any small items.
