AbonnéChildren deprived of food, locked up, thrown to the ground, left in their excrement or dragged from one room to another by their clothes: a joint investigation of "time" and "Heidi.news" proves the existence of repeated mistreatment on the part of some of the staff of this specialized Geneva facility.
Publié mercredi 26 janvier 2022 à 17:43 Modifié vendredi 28 janvier 2022 à 18:57In Geneva, the scandal of Mancy's specialized home takes a new turn. Documents that Le Temps and Heidi.news have consulted prove the existence of repeated mistreatment of children on the part of some of the staff, men and women alike: deprivation of food, confinement, children thrown to the ground, left in their feces or dragged from room to room by their clothes. Facts documented and denounced by several collaborators as early as May 2019, less than a year after the opening of this establishment run by the Medical Pedagogical Office (OMP), which is attached to the Department of Public Education (DIP) and accommodates young people with severe autism or severe intellectual disabilities. According to our information, corroborated by the testimonies of about 10 people, some of these abusive behaviours continued until at least the spring of 2021.
