Five sites to resell (and therefore recycle) the clothes that we no longer put
A rainy afternoon and a closet filled to the brim with clothes.Five boxes and off we go: we put in the first clothes that we really wear and that we will put again at the end of this half-day of sorting. If we hesitate, we do not forget that a clothing not worn for a year and even less will not be anymore. If we really want to give a second chance to a room and that we consider not to have worn it because we did not know with what to grant it, we use the Clothes to me application. This allows you to photograph your clothes, imagine associations and record your outfit choices.
In the second box, we drop the really worn or stained clothes that we cannot necessarily give but which will be able to serve as a rags.In the third, those who require a repair that has still not been carried out: direction the sewing machine, the designer or a repair coffee.During these workshops widespread everywhere in France, it can be repaired for free objects, but also clothes. Why not otherwise transform your garment into another by inspired by the tutorials of our columnist Emmanuelle Vibert? In the fourth card, we put the clothes that we will really not really put, that we do not necessarily intend to resell, but which deserve much better than to finish in...And they are given, on condition that they are neither soiled nor wet, thinking of the collection terminals, the centers such as emmaüs, Secours Populaire, La Croix-90rouge, weaves solidarity...Or to loved ones.
The fifth and last card will welcome the clothes that we will no longer wear, but we will not feel ready to give. They can be sold.Different platforms specialize in this niche. Here are five:
1.Modist
This online dressing vacuum buys and sells the clothes that we no longer put, but also bags and shoes for women. You must first think of ordering a prepaid bag that we receive a week later. We go to a simulator at this address to find out if the platform will resume this or that brand (not all are accepted, but the list evolves) and at what price. We then fill the bag as much as possible and get a buyout offer by email. We can accept it and receive a transfer, or refuse and collect your clothes for 7.50 €.Clothes are sold on theModist online store, "up to -90 % of their new price", promises the platform. One of the advantages: you don't need to take a photo or description of the garment that we return.
2.Once Again
OnOnce Again, we order a Relay global label by email in order to benefit from free shipping costs, and we also go to a simulator to find out if the clothes we want to resell will be accepted and at what price -For example, distributor brands like Auchan, Leclerc, Carrefour, Kiabi are refused...We send a minimum of fifteen items, without exceeding five kilos, sticking the label on the package. The platform indicates that the processing time is three weeks: a transfer will be made for the articles taken up (they must be clean and ironed), while the others will be given to an association. They can also be sent to us for 7.90 €.The garment should not include no hole, a stain, no bouloche, must not be discolored or faded, must not include hem or damaged seam and its closures must be in perfect working order.Once Again also takes back bags and shoes for men and women.
3.Vacuum dressing
On the dressing room side, we play the role of the seller directly. We put an article for sale, which we describe and that we take a picture by setting him a price. If it is a luxury article, the platform indicates that a legal team is responsible for checking its authenticity before its online launch. When a buyer spots the article that has been sold, he adds it in his basket and pays it.The seller has 72 hours to validate the availability of the article. If it is not available, the buyer will not be debited. If it is, the seller has 72 hours to send him to the buyer. The Vacuum Dressing Commission is 15 % for sales over € 150, but is zero outside, and is limited to € 300, specifies the platform. Les grandes et les petites marques (chaînes telles que H&M et Zara) sont acceptées.More details here.
4.Vintéd
On vinted, we also play the seller. We take a picture of his article, we describe it, we select his condition - this can be a little damaged, but it must be specified. We set a price and we select one or more delivery methods.Men's clothing, accessories and shoes, women and children are accepted. Also new cosmetic products and high tech accessories such as mobile phone and audio hulls.More details on the articles accepted here.Shipping costs are added to the article price and billed to the buyer.
5.Collective cloakroom
On a collective locker room, we have the choice to sell yourself or ask the platform to sell our items for us.First option: we go to the application, we use a deposit sheet, we describe our part and we download photos of it.Once the room is sold, it is sent directly to a collective cloakroom which will control it before sending it to its buyer. We then receive up to 80 % of the sale price, promises the platform.Second option: we go through the concierge service of the platform, which takes care of everything, and we receive up to 75 % of its sale price once it has found takers.Collective cloakroom specifies rather looking for "iconic, timeless" items, "vintage treasures" and "flagship pieces of the moment, among bags, accessories, shoes, sneakers, watches, jewelry and clothes".
