How kids make pocket money on Vinted
Parents' pocket money is no longer the only source of income for children. This is the conclusion of a study conducted by Kard, a French company providing families with payment solutions for their children from the age of 10, which questioned 50,000 of its users.
While 45.6% of child/adolescent users receive pocket money as their only source of income, with an average of 33 euros per month, a majority (55%) accumulate other income.< blockquote class="twitter-tweet">

These revenues are mainly derived from sales made on Vinted, the essential application for selling second-hand clothes. According to the study, it can generate 28 euros on average per month from the age of 10.
And for 22.5% of young users, Vinted even represents the only source of income with an average of 25 euros earned each month.
According to the study, the average income is 29 euros for 10-year-old children. It is at 12 that users record the largest gains on the fashion platform with 32 euros, we can read. This is even more than young adults aged 18 who generate 31.50 euros in income on average.
Geographically, more than half (55%) of sellers live in Ile de France, including 6% in Paris. Income from Vinted can vary from one department to another, with an average monthly earnings of 15 euros in the department of Eure-et-Loir and more than 30 euros in Isère, Paris, Gard, Loiret and Haute-Garonne.
Pocket money: up to 41.57 euros per month but strong departmental disparities The study shows, unsurprisingly, the older children get, the more pocket money they receive. From 28.58 euros per month for those under 10 years old, we go to almost 32 euros for 15 year olds and 41.57 euros for those over 18 years old. But the amounts vary from simple to double between the departments. In Ain, the average is fixed at 22.86 euros per month against 43 euros in Aisne and almost 48 euros in Pyrénées-Orientales. The average in Ile-de-France and Paris is in the median around 37 euros.
