Essai MBK Tryptik

There is a hit. Even if the narrow track at the front makes it a very maneuverable machine, it is not as immediate as a two-wheeler. Maneuverable as hell certainly, but not agile, clever yes but not "goes everywhere". In short, this Tryptik is clearly a new driving/riding concept, intended both for people who have never ridden a motorcycle or scooter, and for others wanting to discover three-wheelers, in particular for safety reasons. , without breaking the bank and without piloting an aircraft carrier, and they are a thousand times right.

It's quite funny by the way, while making the video of this "long-term" test, we also came across someone who had had almost all the three wheels on the market and who was downright adoring of this new machine. .

It is therefore a real new culture of urban management that is being put in place. We no longer have a car that goes fast, a top-of-the-range three-wheeler concept, we have something cute, original, but it's still a three-wheeler. A little heavier in maneuvers, especially in parking, than a two-wheeled scooter. It weighs 30 kg more than my Cygnus, (but 70 kg less than its only 125 equivalent, the Piaggio Yourban 125, now withdrawn from sale…), many will love it and then marvel at their purchase because that he is smart in town and because he impresses a bit. Yes, he amazes.

Amazing look

The red color is well seen, it also exists in gray, and in white at Yamaha, the design is successful. When you look at the front face there is a gaping hole to which the motorcyclist is not used...

This Manta ray mouth at the front of the Tryptik reminds me, it's another one of my thousand lives, the catamaran. That of the cities was therefore born, except that it is the usual width of a scooter, to within a few cm. Like a Manta, like a catamaran, it swallows holes and bumps, sidewalks (which you have to take sideways, as you do at sea on a very big wave whereas on a motorbike, you take the sidewalks in front of you on pain of picking yourself up like an idiot)… We will come back to this…
