The Miami Art Week finally returns in 2021 with of course "Art Miami", "Art Basel", and dozens of other "satellite" fairs and art events in Miami.Please note, the duration of certain fairs has been reduced.Overall it will happen between November 27 and December 5.

Presentation of the art weekend
More than 6000 artists exhibit during the art weekend, mainly in the field of contemporary art, both in Miami Beach and Downtown or Wynwood, with nearly 500 international galleries present, from around thirty countriesDifferent: Miami becomes for a week a colony of artists!The diversity of exhibitors and exhibitions prevents there to be a common theme, or artists highlighted in relation to the others: generally only the names of the galleries are put forward in the weeks preceding art weekend, but reassureYou: all the great contemporary artists are exhibited there!Whether you love quality art, whether you are amused by wacky contemporary productions, or you don't know anything but just enjoy selfies in colorful places: there is something for everyone during MiamiArt Week!

The essential fairs are: Art Miami (Miami Downtown), Art Basel (in Miami Beach), Red Dot (Miami Wynwood) and Miami River Art Fair (Miami Brickell).If you are a fan of contemporary art, you may start with Art Basel: more than 4,000 artists and more than 250 galleries present.However, many believe that "Basel" has dropped in quality, and prefer art Miami, which is also immense.
If this is the first time that you go to a contemporary art fair, you will certainly judge certain works present at Art Basel as being "bizarre". Yes, it's like on TV, and in 2019 during the last edition of Art Basel it was a banana taped on a wall that attracted all the attention. But, really, it's not just pyramids of toilet paper and open doors on nothing: everything is not bad. To be clear, most of the works in question are in Art Basel, there are much less on the other fairs of the Miami Art Week. Better to know: early December in Miami, hundreds of little -known artists (whether bad or beginners) (which is not the same thing) and exhibiting directly in galleries, ensure more " snoring "that they" exhibit at Basel ". It makes a disproportionate pub at the Miami Beach fair, which is not necessarily the best.
There is a "valet parking" service in Art Basel, but also "water taxis" and free shuttles connecting the various sites of Miami and Miami Beach.

Miami 2021: an art weekend like no other

The 2021 edition of Art Basel Miami and its art weekend will have a unique taste, it is above all the big reunions between tangible art: the one that we can see and touch - and therefore naturally feel - andthe public.
Aficionados already have a well -traced route, nothing retains the last -minute surprises and there will be ... but for the time being, it would be wise to concoct a "roadbook" for the most electric week of 2021, at Miami.
Organize to discover and reconnect with his "friends" from art with a Grand A.
Galleries and French -speaking artists will not miss during this edition and all reserve us to compensate for our added shortcomings…

Un solo show a ne pas manquer, ouvert au public toutes les après-midis du 1er au 5 décembre.

Where to spend your evenings during the art weekend
Art Week is also a large number of evenings, in the clubs of South Beach hotels and other discos from Miami Beach: Liv (Hotel Fontainebleau), Delano, 1 Hotel, Faena, The Confident, W South Beach, Soho Beach House, The Plymouth, at the Rooftop swimming pool of Strawberry Moon… You can also venture to South Beach at Sweet Liberty or Broken Shaker, Mia Rooftop, or even go to an after -edition: in all These places you will not be bored (most look open but check all the same due to sanitary restrictions, certain hotels may have suspended clubs).
