The Metropolitan Council adopted, on Thursday, March 11, 2021, the establishment of a single and average rate of 5.7%, compared to 46 rates today. A figure below the national average.

“Today, the level of waste service is identical and equivalent for all municipalities,” says Laurent Hamon, vice-president responsible for waste. Switching to a single TEOM is a principle of tax justice. »

Inhabitants will therefore pay 69 euros per year and per household in all municipalities.
